AS Tallinna Sadam sees H1 net profit rise 16% to EUR 20.2M in H1

Net income of Estonia based Port of Tallinn (AS Tallinna Sadam) for the first half year period (January-June) totaled EUR 20.2 million, or up 16% over the same period last year, the port operator said in a press release.

Revenues for the six month period climbed 7% to 59 million euros.

AS Tallinna Sadam is a stevedoring company of the Port of Tallinn. The company was incorporated in 1996. The company’s sole stockholder is the Republic of Estonia. Port of Tallinn ranks third among largest Baltic seaports, next to St. Petersburg and Primorsk, on the Baltic Sea. The Port comprises five harbors: Muuga, Old City Harbor, Paljassaare, Paldiski South and Saaremaa. In 2013 cargo throughput at the terminals of AS Tallinna Sadam was 28.25 million tonnes and passenger traffic rose 4% year-on-year to 9.2 million people. In 2013 net income of the company grew by 21% to RUB 39.7 million euros.
