National Container Company finalizes its corporate restructuring

Shareholders of National Container Company, Russia’s largest operator of container terminals has finalized corporate restructuring and distribution of the company’s assets. The company was incorporated in 2002 by First Quantum investment company and Severstaltrans group of companies, NCC’s press release reports. Within the framework of the second stage of corporate restructuring First Quantum purchased the shares of Severstaltrans in the following container terminals: NUTEP (port of Novorossijsk), ККТ (port of Olya) and Ukrtranskontainer (port of Iljichevsk), as well as in the project for construction of a logistics terminal in Shushary (Leningrad Region).

Within the framework of the first stage of corporate restructuring First purchased 50-% share of its partner in First Container Terminal CJSC and Baltic Container Company OJSC, as well as the National Container Company brand. Earlier the structures of Severstaltrans group purchased the share of First Quantum in East Stevedoring Company, East International Container Service CJSC and Vladivostok Container Terminal OJSC.
