Mortrans LLC (Saint-Petersburg) puts into operation bunkering tanker Eland (photo)
Bunkering company Mortrans LLC (Saint-Petersburg) has put into operation bunkering tanker Eland with the cargo capacity of 1,340 t, Mortrans says in its press release.
The Company acquired the vessel in January 2013. It took 6 months to repair the ship at Kanonersky shipyard and to obtain necessary permits for operation.
The bunkering tanker commenced operations at Big Port St. Petersburg on September 15, 2014. As IAA PortNews was informed by the Company, the vessel will be primarily deployed for bunkering operations in Saint-Petersburg and Ust-Luga ports.
Vessel’s classification - М-ПР 2.5 ice 30, cargo capacity – 1,315 t, length – 79.7 m, beam – 11.2 m.
The vessel has four cargo tanks and can simultaneously carry dark and light bunker fuel.
Mortrans LLC (Mortrans Group) was set up in September 1998 in Saint-Petersburg. The Company owns three vessels: bunker base Fenix, bunkering tankers Ecomar and Eland.
