Vertical planning of Vostochny Port’s Third Phase area completed (photo report)

Vertical planning of Vostochny Port’s Third Phase area has been completed in full. The 54-hectare are includes an artificially created plot of land covering 17.2 hectares, the company’s press center says.

The prime contractor Kapstroy LLC has commenced laying of engineering networks: drainage pipes and water lines for sprinkling of coal-storage yards. Besides, water treatment facilities are being assembled. The complex will have a multiple filtration system to turn waste water into fishery quality water.

Vostochny Port OJSC and Managing Port Company LLC pay special attention to environment protection, the statement says.

Full scale implementation of the project on construction the port’s Third Phase is estimated at RUB 13.613 bln.

JSC Vostochny Port is the major stevedoring company of Russia specializing in coal transshipment. As of today, export coal (mainly coal mined in Kuzbass) accounts for 98.5% of the company’s turnover with 1.5% of the coastal trade coal and 0.01% of other cargoes. The company’s assets include a Specialized Coal Terminal with conveyer equipment system and railcar unloading station and a Universal Handling Terminal which specializes in clamshell coal handling. The Terminals’ annual capacities are 14.2 mln tonnes and 3 mln tonnes respectively.

In 2012, Vostochny Port commenced the construction of the Third phase of the Coal Terminal.

Managing Port Company LLC is the sole executive body of Vostochny Port OJSC.
