Malaysian intra-Asian container line PDZ Holdings is planning to spread its wings to the Middle East, writes Marcus Hand in Singapore .
“The shipping industry in the Middle East is huge as most of their goods are imported. We are confident that our new business venture will boost PDZ’s performance in the global market,” executive director Lim Jian Hoo said after the company’s annual meeting.
PDZ has services in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and India. It plans to add two more vessels to its fleet of six as part of its expansion and has appointed agents in Jebel Ali and Bandar Abbas to explore these markets.
