Cargo transshipment of Russia’s seaports grew by 2.8% in January-November 2006 to 383.3 million tons including 159.7 million tons of dry cargo (+0.4%), 223.6 of liquid bulk cargo (+4.6%), Igor Levitin, RF Transport Minister, told at the press conference dedicated to preliminary results of transport complex, the press release of Transport Ministry reports.
Stevedoring companies of the North-West Basin increased cargo transshipment by 6.9% to 174.5 million tons including 67.8 million tons of dry cargo (+3.4%), 106.7 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (9.3%). Stevedoring companies of the South Basin increased cargo transshipment by 0.7% to 145.8 million tons, 43.2 million tons of dry cargo (+1.8%), 102.6 million tons of liquid bulk cargo (0.2%). Stevedoring companies of the Far East Basin decreased cargo transshipment by 2.7% to 62.9 million tons including 4.5% decrease in transshipment of dry cargo (to 48.7 million tons), 3.8% growth of liquid bulk cargo (to 14.2 million tons). Expected cargo turnover of Russia’s seaports to make 416 - 420 million tons in 206 (+2-3% against year-on-year result).
