Car terminal of Oslo Marine Group has been officially put into operation. As the Group’s press center reports, on December 21 Onega accepted 606 Nissan cars delivered to Saint Petersburg by a specially equipped motor ship. All the cars delivered to Onega has been cleared and are now they are ready to be distributed within the dealer network. For the moment being all the cars accepted by the terminal are placed in a special storage area.
Onega LLC is multifunctional port terminal established within the framework of Oslo Marine Group late in 2005. The first phase of the project implies construction of a terminal covering the territory of 2.2 hectares. Investments into this phase exceeded RUR 500 million. The second phase (planned for 2007) implies expansion by 6 hectares in order to increase the terminal’s capacity. Expected average annual turnover of import cars - 60 thousands units (5000 units per month). The Group says that volume of Finnish transit of cars via land cross border points will decrease by 1/3 after the first phase of terminal facilities is put into operation. Besides, Avtomobilny Terminal Avtovo LLC has been specially incorporated by Oslo Marine Group and its German partners for handling of motor transport inflow. Oslo Marine Group has been working for 7 years at the sea market. Today it incorporates over 10 companies representing different branches of business: tourism, leasing, insurance, investment and finances. The companies offer qualified services both independently within their specialization and within the complex of all services offered by Oslo Marine Group. The Group’s companies operate at both Russian and International markets (in the spheres of re-insurance, assistance and legal consulting).
