Cargo turnover of Odessa region ports down 1.7% to 75.6 million tons

Transshipment of cargo in commercial and fishing seaports of Odessa region (Ukraine) decreased 1.7% in January-November 2006 – to 75.6 million ton, Ukraine’s state regional administration reports according to RBC-Ukraine. Transshipment of export cargo fell 8.8% - to 34.7 million tons while import grew by 19.3% - to 7.1 million tons, transit – by 3.2% - to 33.3 million tons. In particular, Odessa Commercial Seaport increased cargo transshipment by 5% - to 25.7 million tons, Yuzhny – by 0.2% to 18.9 million tons, Iljichevsk – by 0.9% - to 13.6 million tons, Izmail – by 4.2% to 6.2 million tons, Reni – fell by 13.4% - to 2.3 million tons. Sea harbors of Odessa region cover 75% of cargo turnover in all 19 commercial seaports of Ukraine.
