North-Western Customs Administration considers inclusion of Big Port St. Petersburg into the pilot project “Marine Portal”, IAA PortNews journalist cites Victoria Koryavtseva, representative of NWC Administration, as saying at the Sixth Northern Dimension Forum which opened in Saint-Petersburg on March 26, 2015.
Port Ust-Luga (Ust-Luga customs point) is among the participants of the project involving five checkpoints of the Far-Eastern, North-Western and Southern Customs.
The Marine Portal is to link all the participants of the logistic process at seaports (operators of port terminals, customs applicants, carriers, state control authorities). It is to ensure the continuity of the logistic process, contribute to optimization of operations and reduce the time of spent by goods at the port.
