The Victor Koryakin cargo motorship took the ground in the Gulf of Finland, Rosbalt reports with reference to Igor Ivanov, coordinator of marine rescue coordination. The vessel left Saint Petersburg for Belgium port of Gent. The accident took place at about 8 in the morning close to Maly Sommers island. The vessel carried 1650 tons of metal scrap and about 63 tons of bunker fuel. According to Ivanov, nothing threatens life of 15 members of the crew. Ivanov says the reason has not been determined yet though he does not exclude navigation mistake of the crew.
