RF Ministry of Economic Development recommends considering possible establishment of Arctic PDA
To attract investments into the Arctic regions of Russia and to create economic growth points, it is reasonable to consider the possibility of establishing priority development area (PDA) in the Arctic zone, IAA PortNews journalist cites Aleksandr Tsymbulsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, as saying at the State Council meeting dedicated to Arctic development.
According to him, special economic regime should apply first of all to traditional businesses of the region focused on HVA production.

Aleksandr Tsymbulsky also said that special economic zone at Murmansk seaport can also give an impetus to the development of Arctic macroregion.
