75.63% of Vyborg Shipyard bought from ZAO AKO BARSS Group by natural persons

ZAO AKO BARSS Group, the owner of major shareholding (75.6%) of Vyborg Shipyard OJSC (VSZ, North-West) has sold its shares to ten natural persons, the company’s press center reports. In August 2006, VSZ’s management applied to administration of Vyborg district for assistance in solving the company’s financial problems. Thus, an investor wishing to buy the shareholding of Vyborg Shipyard owned by ZAO AKO BARSS Group.
The yard is currently developing the order backlog: 6 orders are under implementation, 12 orders are on the way. Besides, the company has two large orders from foreign companies. One of them is construction of an accommodation block of a floating platform for EUR 200 million, the other one is the body of a drilling platform for EUR 50 million. The negotiations on these two contract have come to their final stage.
Vyborg Shipyard OJSC specializes in construction of sea platforms for development of the fields at the self as well as in construction of small and average capacity vessels.
