Throughput of Murmansk Commercial Seaport totals over 14 million tons in 2006, Mikhail Savchenko, the city’s mayor says according to IA REGNUM. The company still holds leading positions among the ports of Russia’s North-West region in terms of coal transshipment. MCS handles about 11 million tons annually. This year, cargo flow of Murmansk Shipping Company has been reflected by  the growth in volume of export dry cargo: apatite (116.6%) and coal (113%), as well as in volume of oil products as part of coastal trade cargo (1.5 times).
