Khabarovsk Shipyard launches passenger ship of project А45-2 (photo)
Khabarovsk Shipyard has held today a ceremonial launch of the new passenger ship of project А45-2, says the press center of Khabarovsk Territory Government.
For the first time over the years the Shipyard delivers a passenger ship for inland river transportation, the statement says. It was decided to name the ship 70 Let Pobedy (70 Years of Victory).
This high-speed boat is intended for transportation of 100 passengers along domestic and international river lines of up to 650 km in length. The boat’s characteristic: displacement - 68 t, crew – 5, speed – up 70 km/h. Main propulsion system consists of two engines placed on both sides of the vessel. The auxiliary propulsion system consists of two diesel generators and two water-jet propulsors. With the draught of about 0.8 m, the boat can operate at small rivers.
The customer of the RUB 178.6 mln contract is KhabarovskVodTrans OJSC. The financing was carried out under the leasing scheme with the participation of JSC Goznak-Leasing as the lessor.
“Sea trials are to be completed in summer and the boat will start operation in September. Most probably, at lower Amur”, said Vyacheslav Shport, Khabarovsk Territory Governor.
The shipyard is also building two other vessels of project А45-2 and an air-cushion vessel of Project SVP-50. The work is financed by the regional budget.
