Almaz Marine Yard (Saint-Petersburg) has launched the patrol boat of project Svetlyak. According to the press center of Saint-Petersburg Administration, the ceremony was attended by Saint-Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko and the officials of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

“This ship represents the time proved series, which is among the most popular ones in terms of its speed and technical characteristics,” the Governor said.

Georgy Poltavchenko also noted the 80-year long and successful cooperation of the shipyard with the Border Service. Throughout this period, over 500 boats and ships have been built for maritime border units. 

Patrol boat of Project 10410 Svetlyak was designed at Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau for patrolling of sea borders. The Svetlyak Class boat has anti-air, anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare capabilities. Major characteristics: length - 49.5 m, beam - 9.20 m, full load displacement - 375 t, speed - 30 knots, cruising range – 2,200 miles, endurance - 10 days, crew - 40.
