Cargo traffic of Northern Latitudinal Railway to reach 23.9 mln t by 2020, Russian Railways says

Cargo traffic of Northern Latitudinal Railway will reach 23.9 mln t by 2020, IAA PortNews journalist cites First Vice-President of Russian Railways Aleksandr Misharin as saying at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2015). 

According to him, Northern Latitudinal Railway is supposed to be connected with port Sabetta (Yamal).

The Northern Latitudinal Railway (Obskaya 2 - Salekhard - Nadym - Pangody - Novy Urengoy - Korotchaevo) will stretch for 707 kilometers. By 2030 it is supposed to be extended eastwards: Korotchaevo – Russkoye – Ermakovo – Igarka.
