KSRC is broadening cooperation with DSME
On June 20 in the course of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum the management of DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd.), one of the world’s key shipbuilding companies made an official visit to Krylov State Research Centre, the Center’s press center says.
The Korean side was represented at the meeting by Honorary President Mr. KO and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Mr. Lee.
The guests got acquainted with KSRC experimental facilities including the ice basin, deep-water andshallow-water towing tanks, seakeeping basin, large-size structure fatigue & static test complex and others.
The parties have discussed the existing contracts and have looked into the nearest prospects of mutual cooperation for technology development in the context of hydrodynamics, structural strength and ship design.
Krylov State Research Center was set up in 1894 as Russia’s first model testing basin in the central part of St. Petersburg. It is a scientific research organization of the national shipbuilding sector focused on conceptual and workshop designs of naval ships, merchant vessels and offshore structures as well as on their operation and disposal.
