Yaroslavl shipyard launches multi-purpose boat Yaroslavets-M (photo)
On 25 June Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant OJSC launched a multi-purpose boat of project 02220, Yaroslavets – М (Hull No 061), says the shipyard’s press center.
Major characteristics: LOA - 19.75 m, BOA – 3.98 m, average draught – 1.2 m, full displacement – 40.0 t, passengers - 12, engine capacity - 150 h.p.
The boat is fitted with the engine manufactured in Yaroslavl.
The tugboat design was approved in 1948 by the Design Bureau of USSR Ministry of Industry. The Navy, as the customer, set forth the requirement: the boat should transportable by railway transport. The lead ship of the project was launched in 1953. Improved design was developed in 1955–57.
Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant (the managing company —CJSC «VP FINSUDPROM») is situated in the central part of Russia, on the bank of the river Volga. It is an Open Joint Stock Company since 1993. The company specializes in construction of both civil vessels and warships.
