Rosneft requests RUB 89 bln from NWF for creation of shipbuilding cluster at Zvezda shipyard
Rosneft requests RUB 89 bln from the National Wealth Fund under the project on creation of a shipbuilding and industrial cluster for construction of offshore ships and marine facilities at Shipbuilding Complex Zvezda, Rosneft says.
The requested amount makes 50% of the project’s value which complies with the parameters of NWF allocations for other projects.
The project is being implemented jointly by Rosneft, USC and Gazprombank.
Shipyard Zvezda laid down in 2009 is focused on offshore orders of Rosneft and Gazprom. Its launch is expected to improve phasing out of imports in the region and to generate new jobs. The production is to begin in quarter IV’2016. Vladimir Tsybin, Acting Director General of Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center OJSC, earlier said that the construction of the first phase is valued at RUB 45 bln.
