Throughput of port Yuzhny (Ukraine) up 7.4% to 27.51 mln t in 7M’15
In January-July 2015, seaport Yuzhny (Ukraine) handled 27,518,160 t of cargo (7.4%, year-on-year), says Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
In the reported period, transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 2,669,690 t (against 3,006,160 t in January-July 2014); dry loose cargo – 24,488,370 t (against 22,080,760 in 7M’14); packaged cargo - 360,100 t (against 542,220 t in 7M’14).
Yuzhny port is located at the north-western coast of the Black Sea, in ice-free Maly Adzhalyksky (Grigorievsky) estuary, 30 km from Odessa port. The port’s approach channel is 3 miles long and 18.5 meters deep. The port’s major stevedoring company is the state-owned Commercial Sea Port Yuzhny.
