A press conference on the results of the 2015 cruise season at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg was held at the press center of the Interfax Severo-Zapad news agency, the Port’s press center says.
The Head of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC Serik Zhusupov summarized the 2015 cruise season at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg, identified the main development directions for the Port and noted that all operational and financial goals for this year are met, while the cruise passenger traffic has increased by 2% compared to 2014.
The Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee on the Development of Tourism has highlighted the great importance of cruise tourism for St. Petersburg and the fact that while the total amount of tourists that have arrived to St. Petersburg in 2015 has decreased, cruise tourism has shown a positive dynamic and has the potential for annual growth.
Deputy Captain of the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg Igor Ischenko noted the development of maritime tourism in St. Petersburg and conformity of port infrastructure with the highest international standards.
Representatives of leading mass media of St. Petersburg had an opportunity to address their questions to the speakers and receive detailed answers.
