Within the final stage of the tactical exercise with a brigade of missile motor boats of the Black Sea Fleet, ships and units of the Coastal Troops performed joint missile launches at surface targets at the sea ranges near the Crimean peninsula, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Missile hovercraft Samum and missile motor boats were the first to engage with cruise missiles a target vessel, which was removed from active service.
The seamen were supported by a division of Black Sea Fleet Coastal Troops, which has recently received new missile complexes Bal. Its crews carried out firing from the Crimean coast.
Unmanned aerial vehicles were used to confirm the target engagement.
In total, the exercise as well as the activities on closing the assigned water area for civil navigation involved up to 10 warships, 5 auxiliary vessels and 5 aircraft and helicopters of the Black Sea Fleet naval aviation.
