The Ports of Auckland Board has voted to appoint Liz Coutts as Chair, effective from 7 December 2015, the company said in its press release.
Rodger Fisher, who has been Acting Chair since the resignation of former Chair Graeme Hawkins did not stand for the position. He will return to his former position as Deputy Chair.
Mrs Coutts will be the first woman to chair the Ports of Auckland Board.
Mrs Coutts has extensive experience in governance and executive roles in major New Zealand companies, including time as Chief Executive of Caxton Group a vertically integrated pulp and tissue paper business.
