Hapag-Lloyd implements GRI for Trans-Pacific trade eastbound to Canada

Hapag-Lloyd has decided to implement the following General Rate Increases (GRI’s) for all dry, reefer cargo, non operative reefer, flat rack and open-top containers from East Asia to all Canada destinations, as set out below:
Effective: January 1, 2016 (date of cargo receipt at origin)
Scope: East Asia to Canada
To Canada West Coast port locations, Vancouver, Canada IPI inland locations via Vancouver and British Columbia Province:
 USD 1080 per 20' standard container
 USD 1200 per 40' standard container
 USD 1350 per 40' high cube container
 USD 1520 per 45' container
To Canada East Coast port locations, Halifax, Canada RIPI inland locations via Halifax and all-water Montreal:
 USD 1440 per 20' standard container
 USD 1600 per 40' standard container
 USD 1800 per 40' high cube container
 USD 2025 per 45' container
East Asia is defined as being the countries of Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macau, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, The Philippines and Russian Pacific Coast Provinces.
