On December 4th 2015 “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC conducted an exercise of the Transport Security Plan for the “Marine terminal of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC” facility, the company says. During the exercise the staff of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC and of other organizations present at the facility have practiced the appropriate actions to be taken in cases of direct and immediate threats to the facility. The order of notifying the competent authorities in such cases was practiced as well, and timing of actions was checked.
Among the exercise participants were representatives of Russia’s Federal Security Service, St. Petersburg water transport police, St. Petersburg fire service, Vasileostrovskiy district police, border control and customs authorities.
According to the statement, the exercise was completed in full and all training objectives were achieved. The event is particularly important in the context of increased attention to security on transport facilities.
