Palmali takes Armada Pride tanker into operation (photo)
Palmali Holding (Republic of Malta) has taken into operation Armada Pride, 7,100-dwt tanker of Project RST22M, Palmali told IAA PortNews. The vessel was built under the supervision of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The tanker flying the flag of the Republic of Malta with the Russian crew onboard has left for port Kavkaz (Russian Federation).
Armada Pride of the Volgo-Don Max class was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau.
The vessels satisfy the Volga-Don Canal and the Volga-Baltic Waterway dimensions. Length of RST22M vessel is 139.95 m, breadth – 16.6 m, depth – 6.0 m.
Vessels of the series are engaged in mixed river-sea transport by Palmali, carrying from Russian river ports heavy fuel oil, diesel fuel and other oil products and vegetable oils, and in maritime transport in the Caspian, Black, Mediterranean, Baltic and North seas, including winter voyages around Europe and in the Irish Sea.
The design was tailored to meet the specific requirements of Russian and global oil companies, additional ecological restrictions of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping «ECO PROJECT» (ECO-S). Class notation - KM Ice 2 R1 AUT1 COMBO oil tanker/chemical tanker type 2 (vegetable oil) (ESP) ECO-S.
