Consolidated cargo volume handed across terminals of Novorossiysk Commercial Port (NCSP Group, LSE: NCSP, MOEX: NMTP) in January – November 2015 increased 4.8% y-o-y to128 million tonnes, the Group said in a press release.
The NCSP 11-month highlights are as follows:
Liquid cargo
In the reporting period NCSP Group handled more than 99,164,000 tonnes of liquid cargo, a 4.1% gain on the same period a year ago. This includes crude oil – 69,327,000 tonnes, (+605,000 tonnes), oil products – 28,997,000 tonnes, (+3,362,000 tonnes or +13.1%). Volumes of UAN and seed oils in January-November 2015 totaled 653,000 and 187,000 tonnes, respectively.
Bulk cargo
In January-November bulk cargo volume handled by NCSP Group reached 11,116,000 tonnes, including 5,880,000 tonnes of grain, 1,053,000 tonnes of chemicals, 861,000 tonnes of sugar, 1,957,000 of iron ore, and 1,365,000 tonnes of coal. Iron ore and coal volumes are up 20.3% and 26% year-on-year.
General cargo
Transshipment of general cargo for 11M 2015 grew by 2,110,000 tonnes or 19.4% year-on-year to 12,990,000 tonnes. Volumes or ferrous metals and pig iron soared 25.3% to 10,963,000 tonnes. Handling of non-ferrous metals totaled 1 115,000 tonnes or a 17.9% gain year-on-year. Volumes of timber, perishables and other cargo in the reporting period totaled 601,000 tonnes, 151,000 tonnes, and 161,000 tonnes, accordingly.
Containerized cargo
The Group’s container traffic in January – November comprised 4,666,000 tonnes and 426,000 TEU.
