Scheduled repair of nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy to be completed by early March

Nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy and nuclear-powered container carrier Sevmorput undergo scheduled repair at the base of Atomflot FSUE. According to the Company’s press center, atomic lighter carrier Sevmorput and nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy, will be ready to enter the Arctic routes in March.

Nuclear-powered icebreakers of Atomflot – Taimyr, Vaygach and Yamal – have been operating in Sabetta and Dudinka from the year beginning.

Under agreement with Norilsk Nickel, Taimyr is servicing the navigation canal at the Yenisei river to the port of Dudinka where it will be deployed till May 15, 2016.

According to Andrei Smirnov, Deputy Director General for Fleet Operation at FSUE Atomflot, nuclear-powered icebreakers Vaygach and Yamal continue working at Sabetta and Cape Kamenny. Icebreakers Tor and Moskva also operate at port Sabetta.
