Delivery of technological equipment for Phase 3 of Vostochny Port’s Coal Terminal started at the company’s Berth No 51А on March 15, 2016. Vostochny Port says oversized parts of reclaimers were delivered from port Nakhodka by the barge named Stepan.
When customs clearance is completed the components will be assembled at the construction site of the Terminal’s Phase 3.
The delivery of equipment for Phase 3 of Vostochny Port’s Coal Terminal commenced in 2015 under agreement with Marubeni Corporation (Japan). They were first carried in containers by automobile and railway transport.
Berth No 51А was built in 2014 specially for handling of oversized structures under the project on construction of the Terminal’s Phase 3.
500-tonne bucket reclaimer is intended for loading of coal onto conveyor lines.
JSC Vostochny Port is the major stevedoring company of Russia specializing in coal transshipment. The Company comprises two production and handling complexes:
• Specialized Coal Terminal equipped with conveyer system and railcar unloading station. Its automation level is as high as 98.9%. Annual capacity – 14.2 mln t of coal;
• Universal Handling Terminal specializing in clamshell coal handling. Its annual capacity is 3 mln t.
Major cargo - coal mined in Kuzbass. In 2014, coal exports accounted for 98% of the Company’s turnover with less than 2% falling on the coastal trade coal.
In 2012, Vostochny Port commenced the construction of its Coal Terminal’s Phase 3.
