Project to clean up the Kola Bay coastline off disposed vessels under way

Project on cleaning up the Kola Bay coastline off disposed vessels has entered the stage of its practical implementation. According to the Murmansk Region Government’s press center, that was discussed during working meeting between Governor Marina Kovtun and Minister of natural resources and environment Elvira Makarova. The project aims to eliminate environmental pollution which has to do with illegal storage of dumped vessels along the Kola Bay coastline and implies cleaning up the waters of the bay off sunken ships. For its implementation in 2016-2017 around 50 mln roubles were allocated from the federal budget.
