Murmansk Commercial Seaport and SUEK AG agree on transshipment of export coal in 2016

Murmansk Commercial seaport (MMTP PJSC)says it undertakes to transship export coal of SUEK AG (subsidiary of SUEK OJSC) from May 1 till December 31, 2016.

The agreement is preliminary valued at almost $500 mln. The volumes to be transshipped under the agreement is 8 mln t +/- 20 %. The agreement also foresees the transshipment of 12 mln t of coal per year starting from January 1, 2017 till December 31, 2020. No value of those volumes is announced.

Murmansk Commercial Seaport PJSC (MMTP) was founded in 1994. MMTP operates 17 berths of total length of about 3 km. The waters depths allow the port to accommodate vessels with draft of 15.5 m and length of more than 265 m.

SUEK OJSC is one of the world’s leading coal mining companies and the largest coal producer in Russia.
