The volume of bunker fuel supplied to ships in April 2016 at the Port of Vladivostok and its offshore bunkering locations totaled slightly more than 35,000 tonnes, which represents a fourfold drop versus last year's figures (146,456 tonnes), the Authority of Sea Ports of Primorsky Krai and Eastern Arctic told IAA PortNews.
One third of this volume has been supplied at offshore western, eastern and inner anchorage locations. The rest of bunker fuel was sold at the port.
The number of bunkering operations increased this year from 275 to 304. About half of bunkered vessels are registered under the Russian flag. The fuels sold includes heavy fuel oil (24,530 tonnes), MGO – 8,908 tonnes, diesel fuel – 2,169 tonnes.
The largest licensed bunker suppliers operating at the port are Transneft, Trans Oil Bunker, SK Pavino, Dilmas, EM Shipping, Bosphorus Bunker.
