Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg welcomed 4 cruise ships between May 2nd and 8th

Between May 2nd and 8th Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg received 4 cruise ships which brought 9,311 passengers, the port operator Marine Façade said. The total berth time of the ships is 6 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 33,822.
Services provided to ships:
•          Fresh water bunkering – 589 m3
•           Garbage collection – 90 m3
In the indicated period 4 helicopters have used the helipad of Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg for landing and take-off.
On May 5th Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg opens cruise season of 2016 with the call of MSC Musica cruise ship, MSC Cruises S.A.
On May 7th the ex-president of the World Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, the current president of the Brazilian Academy of Medicine Dr. Renato Maia Guimarães arrived to St. Petersburg on a cruise ship «Celebrity Silhouette» with an unofficial visit.
Also the representatives of the Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg participated in the events dedicated to the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory of Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.
This week's highest quantity of ships in Port was 3, on May 8th.

JSC Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" (owned by the City of St. Petersburg) is the largest passenger port in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 311 meters in length and a draft of up to 9 meters. The length and depth of new access channels are 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length is 2,171.06 m.
