Dmitry Antonov appointed as Acting Director General of Shipyard Lotus (photo)
Two shipyards of United Shipbuilding Corporation have seen the appointment of new heads. USC says Dmitry Antonov was appointed as Acting Director General of Shipyard Lotus, while Lotus ex-head Vladimir Kulakov was appointed as the head of Amursky Shipyard from May 16, 2016.
“Diverse and successful managerial experience of Vladimir Viktorovich is high in demand at one of the most significant shipyards in the Far East region, Amursky Shipyard. Smooth implementation of the state defence order and revival of the shipyard are among the points to concentrate the efforts of the new head”, USC statement says.
Vladimir Kulakov is a Mechanical Engineer of Honor, graduate of Saint-Petersburg Maritime Technical University. He rose through the ranks from shop foreman at Izhorsky Zavod to Director General at one the largest shipyards in the southern region of Russia.
Dmitry Antonov previously held the position of Deputy Director General on Shipbuilding at Caspian Energy Group. He graduated from Astrakhan State Technical University with specialization in shipbuilding and qualification of a marine engineer. An essential part of his carrier is associated with the state service: as Deputy Minister at the regional Ministry of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources he was in charge of shipbuilding issues in the Astrakhan Region.
The statement says that key tasks of the new Lotus head is to ensure long-term loading with shipbuilding orders for offshore projects and inland water ways, high level and promptness of order implementation, modernization of the shipyard.
