The year of 2016, will see the beginning of construction of 8 vessels to the order of FSUE Rosmorport, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Vladimir Shtrambrand, head of Rosmorport’s Fleet Construction and Repair Department, as saying at the 6th International Forum “Marine Industry of Russia” in Moscow.
According to him, the list includes a dredger with hopper capacity of 2,000 cbm, a buoy craft of Project BLV-04, a special multi-purpose vessel for Chukotka ports, four workboats of Project ST23WIM, one hydrographic boat (Project to be determined).
As of today, there are 25 vessels under construction (apart from icebreakers) including one dredger with hopper capacity of 1,000 cbm (Damen), three vessels with hopper capacity of 1,000 cbm (Krasnoye Sormovo), one non-self-propelled cutter-suction dredger (Onega Shipyard), three self-propelled hopper barges of Project НВ-600 (Onega Shipyard), one buoy craft of Project 02781 (Grand OJSC), two buoy crafts of Project 02780М (Onega Shipyard), three buoy crafts of Project BLV-04 (Sosnovsky Shipyard), 6 workboats of Project ST23WIM (Onega Shipyard), three hydrographic boats of Project К-1100 (Asrtron Marine LLC) and two hydrographic boats of Project Nautilus-800 (Special Boats LLC).
Vladimir Shtrambrand says that the dredger with hopper capacity of 2,000 cbm is to arrive in Arkhangelsk in late June 2016 and will be deployed for operations including those at port Sabetta (Yamal).
Besides, the Sommers, a dredging ship built by Krasnoye Sormovo for FSUE Rosmorport is about to leave for sea trials. In late June – early July the ship will join the North-West Branch of Rosmorport (Saint-Petersburg).
“These are the most modern and well equipped vessels of the class,” emphasized the representative of Rosmorport.
