In January-April 2016, the port of Vysotsk handled 5,342,500 t of cargo, the same as in 4M’15, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of oil products fell by 8% to 3.396 mln t, transshipment of coal and coke climbed by 20% to 1.94 mln t.
Port of Vysotsk is located in the Leningrad region of Russia. There are two stevedoring company operating at the port: Port Vysotsky LLC and RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II LLC. In May 2012, the Russian government decided to expand the Vysotsk port territory, including in its boundaries the land and adjacent waters occupied by facilities of a general cargo terminal under construction. The terminal capacity is projected to reach 3 million tonnes a year.
Port Vysotsky LLC specializes in transshipment of Russian coal to the Western Europe. The port’s water area and the approach canal are 12.7 meters deep with the width of the canal totaling 200 metres. In 2015, the company handled 5.67 mln t of cargo (+7.7%).
