Port Vladivostok to welcome Chinese Taishan, first cruise ship from China, on August 6 (photo)
On August 6th, 2016, the port of Vladivostok will welcome Chinese Taishan, first cruise ship from China (Bohai Cruise Co.,Limited), says IAA PortNews correspondent. The ship will moor at the passenger terminal at 05:30 (local time).
The cruise began on August 1 in Qingdao (China). The ship will company to Vladivostok from the port of Sasebo (Japan) and will set sail for port Pusan (S. Korea). Then the cruise ship will return to Qingdao.
The Chinese Taishan accommodates about 700 passengers and 350 crewmembers. The ship is to leave the port Vladivostok on August 7th, at 00:00 (local time).
The call of Chinese Taishan is a landmark event for the port of Vladivostok as Chinese cruise market show the fastest growth in Asia. Cruise market players hope for regular calls of Chinese liners.
That will be the fifth call of a cruise ship to the port of Vladivostok this season following Artania, Costa Victoria, Sun Princess and Nippon Maru. The next call is scheduled for October 20. The port of Vladivostok will welcome Pacific Venus (Japan).
