Port Posiet throughput in seven months soars nearly 30% to 4.75 million tonnes

Cargo volumes handled at the Port Posiet based in Primorsky region in January-July 2016 increased by 29.9% (YoY) to 4,757,000 tonnes, the Authority of Primorsky Krai & Eastern Arctic Seaports told IAA PortNews.

The strong results were driven by dry cargo volumes which grew by 49.4% to 4,190,000 tonnes. Handling of oil products on the contrary fell by 33.9% to 567,700 tonnes.
