Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port posts 8.3% drop in seven month volumes, to 928,300 tonnes
Handling of cargo by stevedore company Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port JSC in January-July 2016 fell by 8.3% on last year's figures to 928,300 tonnes, the company statistics show.
In the reported period imported goods dropped by 38.7% to 14,900 tonnes, while export volume plummeted by nearly twofold to 169,900 tonnes. On the contrary volumes of coastal traffic rose by 8% and amounted to 700,400 tonnes.
Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port JSC is a diversified stevedoring company operating at the Port of Arkhangelsk. The company handles primarily general cargoes, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metals, fertilizers, heavy-lift equipment and bulked cargoes. In 2015, cargo throughput of Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port reached nearly 1,6 million tonnes.
