Alexander Galushka, Minister for the Development of Russian Far East has supported the proposal of the Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Ilyukhin to include in the zone of 'porto franco' regime the Kamchatka based Elizovsky District. The idea has been welcomed by the minister during the first video-conference meeting in the Kamchatka region of the Supervisory Board of the Free Port of Vladivostok, the regional Gov's press office said.
The proposal of Mr. Ilyukhin will among others encourage tourism development and boost investments in the region.
The regional government will submit their proposals shortly to the Ministry with all the necessary studies for the inclusion of Elizovsky District in the 'porto franco' zone of the Free Port of Vladivostok. The appropriate amendments to the Federal Law "On Free Port of Vladivostok" will be prepared as well.
