Marat Shaidayev was elected as Director General of United Grain Corporation (UGC JSC) at the extraordinary meeting of the company shareholders. According to the company press center, Marat Shaidayev has come into office today, September 15, 2016.
Marat Shaidayev has been a member of UGC BoD since 2014. In April 2016 he was appointed as new temporary single-member executive body (Director General) of UGC JSC after the termination of powers of Acting Director General Aleona Igumnova.
From 2011, Marat Shaidayev has been a member of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port BoD, from 2013 года — a member of Far Eastern Shipping Company BoD.
Marat Shaidayev started working at Summa Group companies in 2004. He was responsible for business optimization and for the development of promising activities. In 2005-2009 he headed Trans-Flot CJSC, managing company of port Primorsk. Then he was in the team of Summa Group parent company being in charge of operative assets management. In 2012–2013 – First deputy Director General of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port.
United Grain Corporation is a company of private-public partnership. Among UGC priorities is boosting of grain purchase and sale in the domestic market, fulfillment of Russia’s export potential; modernization and construction of grain elevators and port terminals.
UGC is a state agent for purchasing and commodity intervention in the grain market aimed at support of domestic agricultural companies and at improvement of their competitiveness.
UGC controls 19 elevators with total capacity of 2 mln t, 7 processing facilities with total capacity of 1.6 mln t and three port elevators able to handle 5.3 mln t per year. UGC assets are located in 18 territorial entities of the Russian Federation. Among its assets is Novorossiysk Plant of Cereal Products PJSC, Russia’s largest company in the field of port transshipment.
