In January-September 2016, the network of Russian Railways loaded 911.6 mln t, up 1.3%, the Company’s press center says.
In the reported period the railways shipped the following goods:
coal – 240.5 mln t (+2.7%, year-on-year); coke – 8.7 mln t (+3.5%); crude and oil products – 174.8 mln t (-7.4%); iron and manganese ores – 82.6 mln t (+1.5%); ferrous metal – 52.8 mln t (-1.9%); ferrous metal scrap – 11 mln t (-3.7%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 39.4 mln t (+3.2%); cement – 21.4 mln t (-5.4%); forest cargo – 32.2 mln t (+7.6%); grain – 13 mln t (+4.3%); construction material – 111.1 mln t (+14.6%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 16.1 mln t (+4.6%); chemicals and soda – 18.9 mln t (+2.3%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 25.9 mln t (-0.4%).
From the year beginning freight turnover totaled1,731.6 bln tariff ton-km (+1.5%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 2,214.8 bln ton-km (+1.2%).
In September Russian Railways loaded 102 mln t (-1.4%, year-on-year).
Freight turnover in September climbed by 1.2% to 194.7 bln tariff ton-km . Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 248.1 bln ton-km (+1.3%).
