RF Transport Ministry is set to change water transport control system

RF Transport Ministry is set to introduce amendments into certain legislative acts related to the state control and supervision at sea and inland water transport. According to the federal portal for legal information, those who initiated the changes think that license requirements related to sea and inland water transport repeat the existing requirements of RF legislation or international agreements and can be controlled by other methods, without licensing. 
 
If the proposals of the Ministry are approved, the control functions will be executed by the Federal Agency for Transport Supervision (Rostransnadzor) and the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor).
