In January-September 2016, seaport of Azov handled 7,406,000 t of cargo (+3.7%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed by 6.8% to 4,127,000 t, oil products – by 1.6% to 2,458,000t. Transshipment of coal fell by 31.1% to 272,000 t.
In January-September 2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport climbed by 3.7% to 4,938,000 t, exports grew by 32.3% to 3,115,000 t, transit – by 3.6% to 2,468,000 t. Imports fell by 15.8% to 176,000 t, short-sea traffic – by 25% to 1,647,000 t.
The number of arrivals/departures amounted to 2,940 / 2,924 against 3,001 / 3,018 registered in Jan-Sep'15.
Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
