Throughput of Murmansk Sea Fishing Port down 18.7% to 233,500 t in 9M’16

In January-September 2016, Murmansk Sea Fishing Port OJSC handled to 233,500 t of cargo, down 18.7%, year-on-year, shows the stevedoring company’s statistics.

In the reporting period, the company handled 135,500 t of fish products (-19.6%, year-on-year).

In the third quarter, the company handled 81,100 t of cargo (down 13.5%, year-on-year) including 49,100 t of fish products (-23.2%, year-on-year).

The company’s throughput in September declined by 4%, year-on-year, to 31,200 t including 15,600 t of fish (-29.4%).  In September Murmansk Sea Fishing Port handled 98 vessels including 75 vessels with fish and 23 vessels carrying other cargoes.

In the 8-month period, the company’s revenue grew by 6.5%, year-on-year, having achieved the record-high result over the last 6 years. Contributions to different budgets in January-September totaled RUB 111 mln, to non-budget funds - RUB 68 mln. Budget effectiveness of the company in the 8-month period – RUB 289,000 per employee.

JSC Murmansk Sea Fishing Port specializes in handling cargo from fishing boats, mother ships and reefer ships. It also transships packaged, palleted and loose cargo, as well as general cargo of commercial and military use. The company’s quay side is 2,765 meters long. It owns port fleet, fleet of lifting equipment, auxiliary equipment, refrigerators, rail facilities and yard engines.

In 2015 the company handled 371,400 t of cargo (-10.8%).
