In January-November 2016, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 18.413 mln t of cargo (+15.1%, year-on-year), Acting Harbour Master of Rostov-on-Don port Andrei Iovlev told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products climbed by 33.8% to 6.642 mln t, grain – by 22.5% to 5.67 mln t, coal and coke – by 9.6% to 1.278 mln t, metal scrap – by 21.5% to 931,000 t, liquid bulk food – by 16.4% to 387,000 t.
Transshipment of non-grain bulk cargo fell by 5.5% to 2.834 mln t, general cargo – by 24.7% to 447,000 t, metal – 3.5 times to 127,000 t.
In the reporting period, loading at the port increased by 15.5% to 11.775 mln t, transit – by 30% to 5.879 mln t. Unloading fell by 40.1% to 760,000t.
The number of incoming/outgoing vessels increased to 6,176 / 6,259 against 5,998 / 6,008 a year ago.
Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don increased by 48% to 98,800 t.
