The Supervisory Board of the Kamchatka Territory Free Port has approved eight investment projects estimated at over RUB 1.7 bln and supposed to generate 154 new jobs. According to press center of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, one of the projects provides for construction of a hub port to service refrigerated and containerized cargo. Investments into the project are estimated at RUB 700 mln, says Alekdsandr Galushka, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East.
Denis Tikhonov, Director General of Far East Development Corporation JSC, says Kamchatka is an investment-attractive region. “The terminal has a potential that should be used to attract both Russia and foreign investors,” he emphasized.
The Minister reminded about the draft law on simplified visa procedures at a Free Port. “New visa regime with one entry ordinary visas for an 8-day stay will be available in a digital format for those foreigners who come directly to the Free Port of Vladivostok. Investors and tourists coming to Kamchatka will get such an opportunity,” he said.
