Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January 2017 climbed by 10%, year-on-year, to 50.54 million tonnes, the Port Authority statistics show.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 31% to 20.13 million tonnest, while non-oil bulk cargo – by 7.1% to 1.57 million tonnes.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. In 2016, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 593.3 million tonnes.
