In January-April 2017, the network of Russian Railways loaded 410.4 mln t of cargo, up 3.8%, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods: coal – 119.9 mln t (+9.2%); coke – 3.7 mln t (+3.5%); crude and oil products – 80.5 mln t (+1%); iron and manganese ores – 35.6 mln t (-0.6%); ferrous metal – 23.9 mln t (+0.1%); ferrous metal scrap – 4.1 mln t (+11.9%); chemical and mineral fertilizers– 19 mln t (+5.7%); cement – 6.9 mln t (-1.4%); forest cargo – 15 mln t (+3.7%); grain – 6.7 mln t (+1.8%); construction cargo – 40 mln t (-3.7%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 6.7 mln t (-0.5%); chemical and soda – 8.9 mln t (+2.7%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 11 mln t (+14.1%).
From the beginning of the year, freight turnover totaled 813 bln tariff ton-km (+7.5%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 1,040.8 bln ton-km (+7.2%).
In April, Russian Railways’ loading grew by 3.9% to 105.3 mln t.
Freight turnover in April grew by 8% to 205 bln tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs grew by 7.4% to 261.2 bln ton-km.
