The delegation of the military diplomatic corps of foreign countries, accredited in the Russian Federation, visited the warships of the Northern Fleet of Severomorsk, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Military diplomats, which getting acquainted with the Northern Fleet in accordance with the plans of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, visited the heavy nuclear missile cruiser "Peter the Great" and also a rocket cruiser "Marshal Ustinov".
The military sailors of the Northern Fleet organized an extensive tour for the foreign guests of missile cruisers, familiarized with a history of ships and their military campaigns, with the main weapons.
Upon completion of the excursion program on warships, the solemn ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers to the monument "to the Heroes of Severomorsk, the defenders of the Arctic during the Great Patriotic War", which was attended by foreign military diplomats, was held in Severomorsk in the Seaside area.
A delegation of representatives of military-diplomatic corps of foreign countries begun their acquaintance with the Northern Fleet on 5 June. More than 100 military diplomats, representing 65 foreign countries from all continents met in Severomorsk with the Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Fleet - Vice Admiral Nikolai Evmenov. He told the foreign guests about the structure of the modern Northern Fleet, told them about the main tasks performed by sailors of the Northern Fleet in the Arctic and other regions of the World ocean.
